| Enormous exams on Mon & Tues and then, I will be free for 5
days. Thanksgiving break means lots of sleeping and absolutely no
studying, oh yeaaa

| Ahhh, another uneventful Sunday. Hiko just left to go back to
Marietta, and now I'm left with the torturous task of studying
histology all day. Guess that's what I get for not studying
yesterday.
Got my test scores back this week, and I did fairly well considering
how much information there was to know and how unprepared I felt for
it. This gives me hope...maybe I am cut out for this after all
I really gotta stop being so antisocial but there are too many UGA
people here, they all know each other, and all they ever do is watch
football and drink beer...or talk about fantasy football and drink
beer...or play football and drink beer. Even the girls. Not
my idea of a good time. I went to Emory for a reason.
And you know, I really can't believe it's been 4 yrs since 9/11.
Doesn't seem that long ago, and I remember that morning so
clearly. Wow...

| Taking a break from studying. I finally changed my profile
pic...isn't it gorgeous? One of the best pictures I took in
Europe this summer. I wanna go back!

| First test on Friday...starting to get a little worried. Last
night, I had this bizarre "sleep studying" episode. I was
sleeping but I remember going over all of the origins and insertions of
the forearm muscles in my head and getting frustrated because I
couldn't remember them all. Woke up this morning mumbling them to
myself.

| I am now all moved into my apartment, and after 2 precious hrs on the
phone with stupid Comcast people, I finally have internet.
Yesterday was the first day of class. I have now heard everything
anyone would ever want to know about the anatomy of the back/spinal
cord in 3 hrs. Of course, knowing the material is an entirely
different thing. Today, I think we covered an entire semester of
orgo/biochem in 2 hrs. Tomorrow is the beginning of fetal
development and Thursday, I will be dissecting the pectoral/breast
area.
The 2nd year students have organized an entire week of welcome
activities, and I haven't gone to any of them yet. I think
tonight is Mexican food...contemplating whether I should go or
not. It would be good to know more people and I shouldn't be so
antisocial but I really hate all that small talk bs. I'll think
about it some more...
Please feel free to leave me amusing comments to help me keep my sanity.
